ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY DINNER AT FLOOR 2 + DOWNTOWN PITTSBURGH

Last weekend my boyfriend and I celebrated our one year anniversary at Floor 2 in downtown Pittsburgh. This past year has been the best year of my life and I have him to thank for that. They say when you least expect it you’ll meet your person and I think I truly found mine.  Before I get into how our dinner went, I wanted to quickly add in how our little love story began, as some you have asked. *Insert some T Swift Love Story* Although both him and I would rather have some lovey dovey beginning, we met from Tinder hahaha! We first met a little over two years ago, went on one date, and that was it. I may or may not have thought he was a donkey butt. Sorry T! But as always…I firmly believe that everything happens for a reason because almost exactly a year later we both were somewhat newly single and started talking again thanks to another lovely dating app (we really know how to pick em). All jokes aside, this time around went much better! We met for drinks one Sunday afternoon at The Yard and before we knew it, we were there for a couple of hours. We both hit it off really well as if  we were old friends catching up on years of passed time. After our “second first date” I’d be lying if I said I didn’t think he was the one. You could say I found my missing puzzle piece. I know I am so cheesy. Who would have thought? lol. Reality is, I don’t know what the future holds for us, but I thank God for him every single day.

As for our dinner, we tried somewhere new called Floor 2. The atmosphere was my absolute favorite. We both first ordered drinks, he got a glass of wine and I ordered their rose. The rose was SOOO good and the aesthetic was on point. For an appetizer, we ordered their $15 charcuterie board. I was a little disappointed as it came with like six pieces of meat and no cheese. Very small portioned. Since I obviously have stomach issues, I just went for the caesar salad with oil and vinegar as my main meal. I don’t think you could really mess that up but it was very fresh. Tom ordered their chicken which he said was very good. They did have a big sized portion when it came to that.

For dessert we ordered their chocolate pave. It was also SOOO good. We both said we wouldn’t go back for dinner but we also didn’t order any of their specialty dinners so that could of been our issue. Needless to say, their drinks and desserts were amazing.
