The RealReal + Louis Vuitton Medium Ring Agenda Cover Review

When it comes to buying my designer items, I would always either buy them directly from the retailer or purchase them through Nordstrom. After I recently just bought two Louis Vuitton items off of The RealReal for way less than retail price, I realize that I have been doing it all wrong. If you’re not familiar with The RealReal, they are a company with millions of shoppers and consigners that sell all authenticated designer items from clothes, to shoes, to bags, and everything else in between. On top of having their website, they also have three retail stores located in New York and Los Angeles. Even better, they are making luxury sustainable and have saved over 550 million liters of water and over 12,000 metric tons of carbon offset. So if environmental factors are important to you, it is nice to see that they are also important to the company that you give your money to. If I still haven’t sold you, they were also talked about in Vogue and The New York Times which are both very respectful names. They are the REAL deal.

I have wanted the Louis Vuitton Medium Ring Agenda Cover for years but could never afford it nor did I feel comfortable spending that much on something as simple as my daily planner. Don’t get me wrong, you get what you pay for, but on top of the $600+ price tag, I would still have to buy all of the inserts and dividers. It just was not worth it to me. But then I did some research and came across The RealReal. I saw that it was a fraction of the price on their website and that they even let you checkout with Affirm. If you are not familiar with Affirm, it allows you to make monthly payments instead of paying in full for just a small fee. So when I saw that they had this agenda that was in very good condition, I decided to treat myself. And I truly use the crap out of this thing. It is exactly what I wanted for my daily planner and I also have sections for my notes, passwords, and spending tracker. A lot of people always ask what it came with, but keep in mind, everything is different pending on what the consigners included. Mine came in a TheRealReal dust bag as well as with an authentication card. It honestly was my missing puzzle piece to organization. As for my inserts, I bought them all off of Etsy from the shop JanesAgenda and I bought my dividers from the shop ShelbieLeeCo. Since my first purchase went so well and I was really happy with everything, I ended up making a second purchase. I bought the Louis Vuitton Speedy Bandouliere 30 which I will be making a blog post about soon. Again, another great purchase!

This post is not sponsored in any way, I just wanted to share one of my new secrets on how to save on designer items. Feel free to email me with any questions!

Five Things To Spend Your Christmas Money On

Since Christmas is over and the new year is in full swing, I wanted to share my top five favorite items that would be worth spending your Christmas money on. I am all about spoiling yourself when the time comes so listen up!

Beis On the Go Essentials Case

For all of my on the go girls, I recently just bought the Beis On the Go Essentials Case and it is the perfect cosmetic bag for traveling. I sleep over my boyfriends house a lot and I was looking for a small case that would fit all of my skincare products, toothbrush, feminine products etc. and this works perfectly! It even comes with its own mirror! It is really good quality and priced very reasonably.

Amazon Jewelry Box

The second thing that I recommend is this jewelry box from amazon. I have looked for months and months for something like this and ended up finding the perfect one on amazon for less than $40! It is such good quality and even came with a tiny travel jewelry box. I have searched at places from Pottery Barn to Target and this is by far the best option for a reasonably priced jewelry box.

Target Ultrasonic Oil Diffuser

I have been absolutely obsessed with this diffuser that I got from Target! It is only $22 and worth every single penny. I use the Dottera essential oils but Target sells an abundant amount of different ones that are reasonably priced. Essential oils have so many benefits so I highly recommend getting into using them! As always, make sure that you are using 100% pure oils because if not, you could be doing more harm than good.

Rebecca Minkoff Edie Crossbody Bag

If you like high-end designer bags but can’t necessarily drop that much coin, then listen up! Rebecca Minkoff is my go-to brand when it comes to getting that “designer” look while being on a budget. I have seen the Saint Laurent Loulou Matelasse Flap Bag all over social media and absolutely love the style of it. But in all honesty, I am far away from being in the position to purchase a $1900+ bag. That being said, I found a very similar style with this Rebecca Minkoff bag for a fraction of the price. Rebecca Minkoff has a lot of different styled bags that are all basically dupes for the high-end designer brands. I surprisingly got this bag for only $35 at a used clothing store and believe it or not, it was basically in brand new. Usually it would cost around $250 which in my opinion, still is not that bad for a good quality purse. Although if that price tag is still a little out of your budget, you can always look at your local used clothing stores such as Platos Closet and or Clothes Mentor. Or you can look on Postmark and Mercari. A good quality bag that is a dupe for a high-end designer bag is a win-win for me!

Pottery Barn Teddy Bear Robe

The last item that I highly suggest is this Pottery Barn robe. It has been years since I have had a robe so this Christmas when my mom asked me what I would want, I decided it was time to get the robe of my dreams. I always heard such great things about Pottery Barn robes and after having this one, I can see why. This is the most softest robe that I’ve ever felt and I love how it has a little ribbon to tie in the front incase if you did’t want to use the bigger tie. In my opinion, this is a very reasonably priced robe for the quality so it is a 10/10 for me!

Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer Review

If you have been on Instagram within the past three or four months then I am sure that you have seen of or heard of this hair dryer. It has been all over social media from bloggers to youtubers so I wanted to see what all of the fuss was about. It sometimes is hard to tell a good product from a paid sponsorship so I am here to give you the truth. Unsponsored and uncensored. Is the Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer really worth it? Why yes, yes it is! I was kind of thinking this was a gimmick but my lord, it has changed the hair game. I would always dread blow drying my hair because not only would it take me a half hour but I would have to straighten it all afterwards or else it be one big ball of frizz. This dryer not only cut down my dry time to 6-8 minutes but it also completely cut out the time I used to straighten my hair because it drys straight with little to no frizz. Since it does add volume, I will sometimes straighten my ends but usually will only do that if I am going out somewhere and need my hair to be pin straight. As always, when using heat on your hair make sure to use a heat protectant spray. I use either this Redken Pillow Proof Blow Dry or this Rusk Thermal Shine Spray. If you end up purchasing this dryer or have one, I would love to hear your thoughts, comment below!

Bedroom Makeover | January 2020

Can y’all believe we are already one week into the new year? I sometimes feel like the days go by in a blink of an eye. So crazy. Last week, I basically slept at my boyfriends every night because my dad spent his days off of work redoing my entire bedroom. I was a little nervous on how it would turnout but y’all, I am OBSESSED. So for about the past two years, I have had these ugly blue/gray walls that always seemed to make my room dim and not calming whatsoever to be in. Since I plan on moving out within the next year, we both agreed that it was time to patch all of my holes and all of my paint mishaps. I tend to change my mind a lot so I had a bunch of tiny pin/nail holes from all of my wall decor that I move around. And yes, I painted my room that ugly blue/gray all by myself. So in other words, it did not turn out good. Thank the lord for giving me a father who not only kicks butt in the office but also as a personal handyman haha! Enjoy!

New Year’s Resolutions + OOTD

Outfit Details: Target Turtleneck // Black Skirt // Black Booties // Gucci Belt

Hi Chickas! Wow, where to begin. This year has been full of ups and downs. I would overall say it was a pretty good year but if I could describe it in one word it would just be blah. I am so so so excited to see what 2020 has in store for me though. For some reason, I just feel like it is going to be such a good year, full of growth. In January, I graduate college with a Bachelor Degree in Business Management so I will be starting the year off just right. I also will be getting my “big girl” job which means adulting is going to get REAL. Lots of change, and I am beyond ready for it!

Going into 2020 I have five New Year resolutions that I hope I can really stick to. The first one is to start treating my body better meaning, eating healthy and working out. The second one is to read one book a month. I love reading but just never make time for it. The third one is to start saving, a lot. I barely have a savings account as is but since I will be making a heck of a lot more, it will be easier to do. The fourth one is to try and pay off all of my debt, super fun stuff. And the last one is to work on moving out and become independent. So basically, I have to get my butt moving but I am so excited for a new chapter.

I wish you all a happy and healthy New Year!

A Night at the Fairmont Pittsburgh + Dinner at Floor 2

This year for Christmas, my boyfriend and I decided to get a hotel room downtown and have a nice evening with just the two of us instead of exchanging gifts. I wanted to book a hotel that we normally wouldn’t typically stay at so we decided to go with the Fairmont Pittsburgh. After arriving at valet, my boyfriend checked in and to my surprise he had upgraded the room to a suite. After walking into our room, I literally had no words. As you can tell by the photos, it was absolutely breathtaking.

After we got settled into our room, I fixed my hair and did my makeup to get ready for dinner. We were originally going to go to a seafood restaurant but after we saw our room, we decided to go to the restaurant in the hotel called Floor 2. If you’re a true WLFJ follower, then you would have seen my previous blog post about Floor 2 from when we went their for our anniversary dinner. I am actually really happy we did that because it was more relaxing.

After dinner, we took both of our glasses of wine upstairs and watched the rest of the Pittsburgh Penguins game on the couch. When the game ended, we put on the new season of You which is where I soon passed out. I was so tired that he had to carry me into bed. That’s when you know you picked a good one haha! On Sunday, we packed up and went to the Strip District to grab some things at Penn Mac. That would be another fun thing to do if you decided to stay here. We were also right next to Market Square and just walking distance to PPG where you can ice skate. I really liked that all of the Christmas decorations were still up too so it was all super pretty! All in all we both were really happy that we decided to do this so I highly recommend it for next year!

Five Tips + Tricks To Calm Your Anxiety

I have suffered from anxiety for as long as I can remember. Within the past two years, I have really worked hard on trying to get a hold of it. It isn’t easy but it is oh so worth it once you do. I figured out all of my triggers and how I can work on bringing myself back down when it comes to having attacks. That is why I am sharing five ways that help me conquer my anxiety. This may not work for you, but these are a few tips and tricks that have helped me.

The first thing, is to get a hold of life and become organized. More often than not, I have a million things going on weekly whether it is with school, work, blogging, or my personal life. I constantly use my planner and a notebook as my to-do list. This has helped relieve my anxiety beyond belief because I always know when I have meetings, appointments, due dates, as well as free time. I no longer forget about plans or become anxious knowing if I am free or not.

The second thing that I do is focus on self care. I used to always get so wrapped up in other peoples lives that I would often forget about my own. For once, it is time to be selfish. Once a week, I try to schedule an hour or so just for me. In that hour, I usually do a face mask and relax while catching up on some shows or read a book on my kindle. I always either light a candle or use my essential oil diffuser.

The third thing that I do is journal. I am usually bad at keeping up with this but I am really trying to work on it. I have heard from so many people that writing down your thoughts and feelings can help relieve anxiety and calm you down emotionally. Whether it is one sentence or one page, try it out.

The fourth thing that I do, is read my devotional and or self help book. I typically like to do my devotional in the morning and self help journal at night. I truly look forward to waking up every morning to read my daily devotional and it is usually something that I need to hear.

The fifth and last thing that I do to help with my anxiety is schedule a weekly appointment with my therapist. I am SO sad that the one I have been seeing for over a year is leaving the practice, but I look forward to getting to know another one. More often than not it is hard to find someone that you connect with but when you do, its amazing. My therapist has become like a friend and it is just so nice to unleash all of your thoughts for an hour to someone who doesn’t judge as well as gives good advice. Every week she always has her essential oil diffuser going, and I think that it leaves a calm environment. I have used mine for years and really enjoy it so I wanted to throw that in here as well. I am a firm believer in using oils so if that is something you want to try out, I highly suggest it!

Again, this post is just some things that help me. Feel free to email me with any questions, I am always glad to help!
