I have been getting Botox at The Skin Center for two years now and have been so happy with my results each time. This past visit, I focused on my forehead and my brows. Ever since I could remember, I have always been self conscious of my forehead lines because as you can see in the pictures below, my foundation looks lumpy and sits unevenly. When it comes to things like this, I always do my research before making an appointment and always have heard great things about The Skin Center. I have had a few Botox treatments done here as well as facials and everyone has been so kind and knowledgeable.

Botox Question + Answers
Does it actually hurt or is it more of just an irritating feeling?
I think the “pain” would be different for everyone but for me, it does not hurt at all. I wouldn’t even rate it a 1 out of 10. It does get a little uncomfortable at times such as when she does under my brows. But it is nothing even remotely unbearable.
Is getting Botox expensive?
I think it would depend on where you decide to go, but from doing research, The Skin Center has standard pricing. It also would depend on how many units you decide to go with.
What exactly does Botox do?
It reduces wrinkles, fine lines and furrows all while keeping your natural and expressive facial movement. Some people even get it to help with headaches.
What areas can you get Botox?
It can be injected into your forehead, eye area (crow’s feet), and lip lines. It can also be injected to soften dimpling of the chin and even into the muscles of the jaw to help alleviate pain from teeth grinding.
Do you have any down time after getting Botox?
I was just told to not massage or manipulate the area treated, keep my head above my heart for four hours after treatment and to not workout for at least 24 hours. You also are supposed to make the faces that make the lines that were treated for one hour to increase the absorption of the neuromodulator. Typically, the effects will appear 3-4 days but will take two weeks for full results.
Is it safe?
Yes, it is an FDA approved treatment but if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have certain neurological diseases you should not receive treatments.
