Ever since I was a little kid, my family would all rent out a cabin for a week in the summer and it was always so much fun. Honestly, it is one of my favorite childhood memories. After things got expensive we all stopped going but recently we have been renting out a cabin for the weekend in one of the winter months. Last weekend, I went with my boyfriend and a few of my family members and it was so relaxing and nice spending time together.

Everyone headed down earlier in the day but since I worked until five, my boyfriend and I headed down in the evening. It was only like an hour and a half away, but the fog and rain were so bad, it was a nightmare driving down haha. We got there around seven, changed, and then went to dinner at the Dutch’s at Silver Tree with my parents. This place is a MUST if you are ever in the area. Their food is so dang good! My dad and boyfriend ordered their buffet, my mom ordered their crab cakes and I ordered their stuffed mushrooms.

After dinner, we headed back to the cabin to shower and put on some comfy clothes. I then checked out our cabin which was HUGE! It basically had four levels one being like a loft which had two bedrooms, that is where my boyfriend and I slept as well as my cousin and his family. The middle floor had the kitchen, dining area, living room, and two bedrooms. The lower level had two bedrooms and a game room, and then the basement had a small room and the pool/hot tub area.

In the morning, my boyfriend and I went to Trader’s Coffee House to grab a coffee and some breakfast. I was never there before but I ordered a latte with oat milk and my boyfriend ordered their salted caramel frappe which we both loved. For food, I ordered their belgian waffle and he ordered one of their breakfasts wraps. My waffle was the best waffle that I had ever had so I definitely recommend stopping here!

After eating, we hung out and then got ready to go on the mountain coaster at The Wisp. It ended up really snowing so I was absolutely frozen but it was still really fun!

All-Seasons Spritzer(11)When we got back, my mom, boyfriend and I went to Uno Pizzeria & Grill for a late lunch. I highly recommend ordering one of their flat breads because they are so good! My boyfriend ordered their steak and cheese spring rolls which were really good to.

After eating, we headed back to the cabin and took a short nap. My boyfriend and I woke up and I had him do my makeup. It was absolutely hilarious. You can watch the video and see his final masterpiece on my deep creek Instagram highlight. Later that night we all just played card games together and then went to bed. It was a fairly short trip, but spending time with my family is always my favorite.

I have been wanting to try out Hello Fresh for a while now so after a coworker sent me a coupon for a free box, I jumped on it. This is not a sponsored post or as this is my honest thoughts. I ordered three meals for two people. I ended up making them for my boyfriend, my dad, and myself. There was enough food for all of us even though it serves only two people. I made the Sesame glazed sweet potato tacos, Parmesan-crusted chicken with creamy lemon tomato spaghetti, and the Italian noodle soup with chicken sausage and parmesan toasts.

What is Hello Fresh?

Hello Fresh is a meal-kit company that is based in Germany and is the largest meal-kit provider in the United States. You can skip a week or cancel at anytime with no hassle. They start at $7.49 per meal and all of their produce and meats are super fresh.

What is all included in your box?

Each box comes with a recipe card that has nutritional facts and easy to follow directions. Their ingredients are sourced right from the farm and sauces/spices come prepackaged. Each meal is packed in a brown paper bag and taped shut making it easy to fit in your refrigerator.

Last week, my boyfriend and I wanted to go to a new restaurant to celebrate my graduation. I always enjoy going to a new place in town but the one he had in mind didn’t have any reservations so we decided to go to Luma in Mt.Lebanon. I was kind of shocked how small the inside was but sometimes that is nice for a more intimate dinner. Since it is a little on the fancy side, right away our waiter came over with water in which they walked around and filled up once we got low. To start off they gave us freshly baked bread with oil. This bread was unlike any bread that I have ever tasted. It was SO dang good! We also both ordered a glass of riesling which paired well it. They had a decently sized menu but we happened to go during restaurant week so they had a special menu where you can get an appetizer, entree, and dessert for less than $40. My boyfriend ended up going with that option and I went with their crab cakes with wild rice and sauteed broccoli. For his appetizer he ordered zucchini roulade filled with prosciutto, .basil & fresh mozzarella with a tomato cream sauce. For his entree, he ordered braised short rib over romano mashed potatoes topped with a cabernet demi-glace. Lastly, for dessert he picked the warmed chocolate chip brownie topped with dark chocolate sauce, vanilla ice cream and whipped cream.

I heard from multiple people that they are known for their crab cakes and I can attest to that because they were amazing! So if you end up stopping here, definitely try their bread and crap cakes!

I FINALLY did it y’all! Last week, I finished out my last semester of college. It honestly still hasn’t hit me that I will never ever have to do homework again. Woo! I have spent the last six years trying to get to where I am at and it feels oh so good to now be here. As I talked about before, I had so many health issues which has set me back a lot. But I never gave up and continued hauling ass and got it done. I seriously could not have done it without the constant support from my family. My parents honestly made this all possible. I had to finish out my degree by taking the hardest class of my life, Business Capstone. I also had to take management seminar . Since I didn’t want to wait until spring to graduate, I opted into doing a winter semester. It sucked, I am not going to lie but looking back it was all SO worth it. I actually had to do school work on Christmas Eve and Christmas since it was only a one month class. I basically had multiple weeks worth of work crammed into one week for not only one class but two. Because of that, I had to pull super late nights and work during the holidays, but the hard work all payed off! Since graduating, I am officially working full time as a program coordinator at a local marketing firm. It’s weird because I have wanted this for so long but now that it is all happening so fast, it still hasn’t hit me. To some this is just a small accomplishment but to me it’s by far the biggest accomplishment that I have ever had. Basically within one week, I have my BSBA and a new full time salary job. So my life is rapidly changing and new chapters are beginning to open. Thank you all for following along. Here’s to officially adulting and seeing what the future holds!

My Current Skincare Routine(2)

Over the past couple of months, I have been using this Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm and I absolutely love it! It even won the Allure Best of Beauty Award in 2017! I have always used the Neutrogena makeup removing wipes but I didn’t like how much waste it would leave behind. A major part of my nighttime routine is doing my skincare routine . Prior to washing my face, I rub a penny size of this balm in my hands and rub it all over my face, washing with warm water. When I have mascara and or eyeliner on, I lightly rub my eyes making sure all of my eye makeup comes off. It is crazy how good this is even with my makeup being water proof. I even have very sensitive skin and have yet to have an issue with allergic reactions or breakouts. I love that it not only works well but it is vegan, cruelty free, gluten free, and comes in recyclable packaging. It has a cream consistency which makes it gentle on your skin whether you have normal, dry, combination, or an oily skin type. Some ingredients include sunflower oil, ginger root oil, turmeric extract, moringa extract, and papaya enzymes.

Sephora $34

If you’re ever looking to change up your makeup remover, I highly suggest this. I am about a month into incorporating it into my routine and I am not even halfway done with the container so it should definitely last you awhile. I recommend buying the travel size which is 1.7 oz and only $22 prior to purchasing the bigger size to make sure that it is something you like!

When it comes to buying my designer items, I would always either buy them directly from the retailer or purchase them through Nordstrom. After I recently just bought two Louis Vuitton items off of The RealReal for way less than retail price, I realize that I have been doing it all wrong. If you’re not familiar with The RealReal, they are a company with millions of shoppers and consigners that sell all authenticated designer items from clothes, to shoes, to bags, and everything else in between. On top of having their website, they also have three retail stores located in New York and Los Angeles. Even better, they are making luxury sustainable and have saved over 550 million liters of water and over 12,000 metric tons of carbon offset. So if environmental factors are important to you, it is nice to see that they are also important to the company that you give your money to. If I still haven’t sold you, they were also talked about in Vogue and The New York Times which are both very respectful names. They are the REAL deal.

I have wanted the Louis Vuitton Medium Ring Agenda Cover for years but could never afford it nor did I feel comfortable spending that much on something as simple as my daily planner. Don’t get me wrong, you get what you pay for, but on top of the $600+ price tag, I would still have to buy all of the inserts and dividers. It just was not worth it to me. But then I did some research and came across The RealReal. I saw that it was a fraction of the price on their website and that they even let you checkout with Affirm. If you are not familiar with Affirm, it allows you to make monthly payments instead of paying in full for just a small fee. So when I saw that they had this agenda that was in very good condition, I decided to treat myself. And I truly use the crap out of this thing. It is exactly what I wanted for my daily planner and I also have sections for my notes, passwords, and spending tracker. A lot of people always ask what it came with, but keep in mind, everything is different pending on what the consigners included. Mine came in a TheRealReal dust bag as well as with an authentication card. It honestly was my missing puzzle piece to organization. As for my inserts, I bought them all off of Etsy from the shop JanesAgenda and I bought my dividers from the shop ShelbieLeeCo. Since my first purchase went so well and I was really happy with everything, I ended up making a second purchase. I bought the Louis Vuitton Speedy Bandouliere 30 which I will be making a blog post about soon. Again, another great purchase!

This post is not sponsored in any way, I just wanted to share one of my new secrets on how to save on designer items. Feel free to email me with any questions!

HAIR (1)

If you have been on Instagram within the past three or four months then I am sure that you have seen of or heard of this hair dryer. It has been all over social media from bloggers to youtubers so I wanted to see what all of the fuss was about. It sometimes is hard to tell a good product from a paid sponsorship so I am here to give you the truth. Unsponsored and uncensored. Is the Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer really worth it? Why yes, yes it is! I was kind of thinking this was a gimmick but my lord, it has changed the hair game. I would always dread blow drying my hair because not only would it take me a half hour but I would have to straighten it all afterwards or else it be one big ball of frizz. This dryer not only cut down my dry time to 6-8 minutes but it also completely cut out the time I used to straighten my hair because it drys straight with little to no frizz. Since it does add volume, I will sometimes straighten my ends but usually will only do that if I am going out somewhere and need my hair to be pin straight. As always, when using heat on your hair make sure to use a heat protectant spray. I use either this Redken Pillow Proof Blow Dry or this Rusk Thermal Shine Spray. If you end up purchasing this dryer or have one, I would love to hear your thoughts, comment below!
