Hey Babes! A couple of weekends ago, a few of my friends and I went to Lawrenceville to celebrate my 25th birthday. Lawrenceville is quickly becoming one of my favorite spots in Pittsburgh and I am not mad about it! This time around, two of my friends and I made candles at The Candle Lab then headed over to the Round Corner Cantina for drinks and apps, and then ended the trip at No 14 boutique to do some shopping. If you have more then four people at the Candle Lab, I suggest making a reservation. You can make one online which is super easy. The Candle Lab is very close to The Vandal but not very close to the Round Corner Cantina so I would suggest driving.

Hi Y’all! I hope you had a great Memorial Day Weekend! Although the weather wasn’t the greatest, I still had such a fun time hanging with the family. The weather has been super wonky lately which has made the summer feels feeling like spring. AKA rain rain go away!!!! As I am currently writing this, my little ole town is on a tornado warning as well as a severe thunderstorm warning. Yay me right!? Any who, to the main point of this post, I wanted to share a fun collaboration that I am doing with Rellery. If you’re not familiar with them, they specialize in personal modern pieces that are all high quality without the markup price. I received the Modern Round Hoops size small and I am absolutely obsessed! I have been wearing mine non stop since I opened the package. Not only do they look high quality but they also feel high quality. That is a win-win for me!

Hey loves! Today, I wanted to share with you a great company that I am working with called Rocksbox. First and foremost I want to inform everyone that I would never collaborate with a company that I did not truly stand by. Sometimes people ask if I just say yes to any collab to “get my name out there” or to “get paid”, the answer is 100% no. I would never share or team up with a company that I do not solely love. That being said, lets talk about all things Rocksbox. Rocksbox is a $21 monthly jewelry subscription service where you can rent or buy whatever your stylist picks for you. I wanted to break down the steps so you can really understand how it works.

First, you sign up on Rocksbox.com by making a profile and answering a few stylist questions.

Second, head over to your wish list and start adding some of your favorite pieces. This is what your stylist will use to put together your box.

Third, your stylist will put the box together and you will receive an email when finished. In this email, you have the choice to keep what was picked or swap out the three pieces with others from your wish list.

Fourth, when you give the “green light”, your box will be shipped.

After receiving your box, you can keep the jewelry for as long as you’d like as long as you keep paying your monthly fee. Say if you want to purchase a piece, all you have to do is use the prepaid shipping label and ship back the pieces you do not want. You then log onto your profile and essentially “check out”. The envelope that your box is shipped in is reusable so that is what you use to ship the pieces back. That makes thing much easier as you only have to drop the envelope in the mailbox. You can get as many boxes as you want throughout the month as long as they received the previous box. If you want to keep all three pieces, you get the overall total price discounted.  To get your first months subscription free, use code withlovefromjordynxoxo

If you are in the Pittsburgh area, The Johnston House is a must. It is the perfect place for a girls day out, bridal shower, baby shower, or even just some afternoon tea. Just an FYI, you do have to make reservations so if you’re planning to go, plan ahead. I went with my Mom, Grandma, and Aunt and we all had such a great time. When you walk in, you walk through a tiny tea shop. A worker will greet you and take you to your table. You will then be waited on and order your drinks. I always just get the hot tea but they also have iced tea, water, coffee, etc. After you receive your drinks you then get your little snacks delivered to your table. After that, you’re good to go. We usually just sit and talk and when finished we visit the tiny store. For our snacks, we had cucumber sandwiches, quiche, chicken salad croissants, and some small desserts. Everything was SO delicious and whatever you do not finish they give you a box to take it home. As for pricing, I believe it was around $30 a person which is totally worth it in my eyes. I highly recommend The Johnston House, you won’t regret it!

Last weekend my boyfriend and I celebrated our one year anniversary at Floor 2 in downtown Pittsburgh. This past year has been the best year of my life and I have him to thank for that. They say when you least expect it you’ll meet your person and I think I truly found mine.  Before I get into how our dinner went, I wanted to quickly add in how our little love story began, as some you have asked. *Insert some T Swift Love Story* Although both him and I would rather have some lovey dovey beginning, we met from Tinder hahaha! We first met a little over two years ago, went on one date, and that was it. I may or may not have thought he was a donkey butt. Sorry T! But as always…I firmly believe that everything happens for a reason because almost exactly a year later we both were somewhat newly single and started talking again thanks to another lovely dating app (we really know how to pick em). All jokes aside, this time around went much better! We met for drinks one Sunday afternoon at The Yard and before we knew it, we were there for a couple of hours. We both hit it off really well as if  we were old friends catching up on years of passed time. After our “second first date” I’d be lying if I said I didn’t think he was the one. You could say I found my missing puzzle piece. I know I am so cheesy. Who would have thought? lol. Reality is, I don’t know what the future holds for us, but I thank God for him every single day.

As for our dinner, we tried somewhere new called Floor 2. The atmosphere was my absolute favorite. We both first ordered drinks, he got a glass of wine and I ordered their rose. The rose was SOOO good and the aesthetic was on point. For an appetizer, we ordered their $15 charcuterie board. I was a little disappointed as it came with like six pieces of meat and no cheese. Very small portioned. Since I obviously have stomach issues, I just went for the caesar salad with oil and vinegar as my main meal. I don’t think you could really mess that up but it was very fresh. Tom ordered their chicken which he said was very good. They did have a big sized portion when it came to that.

All-Seasons Spritzer(3)

For dessert we ordered their chocolate pave. It was also SOOO good. We both said we wouldn’t go back for dinner but we also didn’t order any of their specialty dinners so that could of been our issue. Needless to say, their drinks and desserts were amazing.
